Before/After

Facelift for Dollar Store Pumpkins

9/13/2010

I'm always amazed at what odds and ends I find at the dollar store. The quality is never the greatest, BUT you get what you pay for and you can always turn it into something better. Take these pumpkins, at the dollar store these little fellas looked like this:

Add some gold and brown spray paint, a few fall leaves and they turn into this:

Which, to me looked a little disturbing. However, they actually came with tiny lights inside (I did not have batteries to test them out), so you could use them as a night light or line your walk for Halloween. I just couldn't stand seeing the creepy face they made at me when I went in my powder room... so I turned them around.

To bad they weren't pumpkins you already had...They would have qualified for the Recycled Halloween Craft Challenge I am hosting on henthornehandmade.blogspot.com
