How to Keep Your Cool After Too Much Sun

I love being in the sun, but the older I get the more I worry about the damaging effects of UV Rays and sunburn. A few years back I got a sample of Peter Thomas Roth's Cucumber Gel Mask. It was my instant go-to anytime I got a little burnt. I've continued to keep it in stock every summer and even use it on the kids. The mask feels cooling and hydrating. I leave it on over-night or just a few minutes, as needed.

Another factor when burnt is comfort and looking good. Stay away from pinks and reds, instead go for cooler tones like greens and blues. This will help balance out the red in your skin. Check out the pretty blue maxi from Nordstrom below. It's loose fitting and looks great paired with comfy flats.

In terms of sun protection, Supergoop has made a name for themselves because of their Vitamin C, antioxidant infusion. Did you know Vitamin C helps protect your skin from within? My doctor recommends taking some before long periods of sun exposure.

Add some summery accessories and a great pair of sunnies and you'll be overcoming that sunburn in no time!!
